About Unit Converter
A friendly, all-in-one unit converter that handles the everyday stuff — metres to feet, kilograms to pounds, Celsius to Fahrenheit — and the trickier bits too, like US cups to litres, acres to hectares, knots to mph, or gigabytes to gibibytes. Type a value, pick your units, and the answer updates instantly. Tap the swap button to flip the conversion, copy the result with one click, and glance at the reference table to see your number in every unit at once. It all runs right here in your browser — nothing is uploaded, and there’s no sign-up, no limits and no fuss.

Frequently asked questions
- Which units can I convert between?
- Length (mm to nautical miles), weight/mass (mg to stone), temperature (Celsius, Fahrenheit, Kelvin), volume (ml to US gallons, including cups and tablespoons), area (mm² to square miles, plus acres and hectares), speed (m/s, km/h, mph, knots, ft/s), digital data (bits and bytes through TB, KiB, MiB and GiB) and time (milliseconds to weeks).
- How accurate are the conversions?
- Very. The tool uses exact, internationally agreed factors — for example 1 inch = 0.0254 m, 1 pound = 453.59237 g and 1 US gallon = 3.785411784 litres — and dedicated formulas for temperature. Results are rounded to about six significant figures to keep them readable without floating-point noise.
- What’s the difference between MB and MiB?
- They measure storage differently. A megabyte (MB) is decimal — 1,000,000 bytes — while a mebibyte (MiB) is binary — 1,048,576 bytes. Drives are usually sold in decimal units, whereas operating systems often report in binary, which is why a “1 TB” drive can look smaller on your computer. The converter labels each unit so you always know which one you’re using.
- Does it handle US or imperial measurements?
- The volume units (cups, fluid ounces, pints, quarts, gallons) use US customary measures, and length/weight use the international definitions shared by the imperial and US systems. If you need UK imperial pints or gallons, keep in mind they’re a little larger than their US counterparts.
- Is my data sent anywhere?
- No. Every calculation happens locally in your browser — nothing you type is uploaded or stored. It works offline once the page has loaded.
- Does it work on my phone?
- Yes. The converter is fully responsive and works in any modern mobile or desktop browser, with no app to install.
